The possible dispatch of US military contractors to Ukraine could lead to an escalation of the conflict with Russia and a disaster for the interests of the United States, retired Special Forces officer Joe Kent, the Republican Party candidate for the Washington constituency, said.
The ex-officer spoke about the risk of a sharp escalation in case of involvement of the US personnel military to participate in the Ukrainian conflict.
“Public consideration of the involvement of US military contractors in Ukraine by the Biden administration is escalation and recklessness. Such deployment of military contractors or advisers is where disasters like Vietnam begin,” Joe Kent told The American Conservative.
The representative of the Republican Party expressed confidence that regardless of the conditions of activity of American contractors, Russia has every right to consider them as military adversaries, which will lead to aggravation of relations and confrontation between Russia and the United States.
