U.S. bases in Europe put on high alert – CNN

US military bases in Europe have been put on high alert due to the threat of a terrorist attack. This was reported by the CNN television channel, citing US officials.

According to US officials, several military bases across Europe have been placed on high alert. The level of defence has been raised to two amid fears that a terrorist attack could target United States military personnel or facilities.

One official noted that it was the first time US troops had faced this level of threat “in at least 10 years”. The TV channel emphasised that the military had raised its alert level, including in the German city of Stuttgart, where the headquarters of the US European Command is located.

European authorities also warned of the potential threat of terrorist attacks during the Olympic Games in Paris and the European Football Championship in Germany, follows from the report of CNN.

We will remind, earlier the former adviser to the Secretary of Defence in the administration of former US President Donald Trump, retired Colonel Douglas McGregor said that over the past twenty years, aggressive foreign policy has been detrimental to the United States itself.
