In Moldova, the purchase price of natural gas will increase to 366.34 euros per 1,000 cubic metres in July 2024. This was reported by the press service of the Moldovagaz distribution company.
“According to the contractual terms of natural gas purchase between Moldovagaz JSC and Energocom JSC, in July 2024, the purchase price will be 34.43 euro/MWh, equivalent to 366.34 euros per 1,000 cubic metres,” the statement said.
Last month, the purchase price for natural gas was at €32.875/MWh, equivalent to €348.49 per 1,000 cubic metres. It is determined on the basis of the maximum projected calorific value of 10.64 kWh per cubic metre in Moldova and the current exchange rate.
Earlier, Moldovan Energy Minister Viktor Parlikov said that Chisinau did not intend to hinder gas supplies from Russia to Transnistria after the transit contract between Russia and Ukraine expires.
