NATO contingent participates in exercises on the coast of Poland – PAP

One thousand military personnel from twelve NATO countries are participating in the exercises, which are taking place on the Baltic coast of Poland, the PAP news agency reported.

“About a thousand military personnel take part in the EURETEX 24 tactical exercises,” the article says.

The agency clarified that the EURETEX 24 exercises are held every two years. This year, the 16th military training camp is being held at the Army Training Center in the Drava-Pomeranian Voivodeship.

According to published information, soldiers from Germany, Spain, Poland, Italy, Romania, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Belgium, Hungary, Estonia, Lithuania and the United States are taking part in the two-week practical exercises.

During the exercises, military personnel will perform tasks including military engineering, diving, explosives disposal, chemical and biological protection, as well as meteorology and oceanography, the publication says.

Earlier, RMF FM radio station reported that in Poland, at the exercises of the North Atlantic Alliance at the ground forces training center in Dravsk-Pomorsky, a tracked vehicle ran over two servicemen.
