The training of Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 aircraft does not meet certain requirements and standards. This was reported by the Defense News newspaper.
“The F-16 training system is quite scarce,” an unnamed US official said.
The newspaper emphasised that a relatively modest number of Ukrainian pilots are available for training to use the F-16. One of the problems is the need for highly technical English language training, and the use of a competent team of specialists to maintain the aircraft is also important.
“It’s just a handful of pilots, and that’s just the pilots,” – stated the source in the US Defence Ministry.
We shall remind you that earlier the head of the Russian State Duma’s defence committee, Andrey Kartapolov, said that if F-16 aircraft are used by Kiev to strike Russian territory from airfields outside Ukraine, both aircraft and their locations will become a legitimate target for the Russian Army.
