ABC: Pentagon downplaying the arrival of Russian Navy ships in Cuba

The Pentagon is trying to downplay the importance of the arrival of Russian warships in Cuba for exercises.

This was reported by the American television channel ABC News.

“Despite the fact that Russian ships regularly call at the port of Havana, these exercises are a blatant provocation, the importance of which the Pentagon is trying to downplay”, – said in the report.

Earlier, retired US Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis said that after sending Russian naval ships to the port of Havana, the US should contribute to the de-escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.

On 12 June, a detachment of Russian warships completed exercises on the use of high-precision weapons and arrived in Cuba.
