Zimbabwe’s President: Africa senses Russia’s return to the continent

African countries feel that Russia is returning to the continent and respect the policies of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa said on the sidelines of SPIEF 2024.

TASS writes about it.

He was asked whether the continent feels the “return” of Russia.

“Yes. I think it is felt by many countries, especially with regard to Vladimir Putin’s policies,” Mnangagwa said.

He added that Zimbabwe solidarises with Putin’s foreign policy.

On 7 June, during a session at SPIEF-2024, Mnangagwa also said that building a multipolar world is in Africa’s interests.
