NATO Secretary General: Kiev can already hit military facilities in Russia with Western weapons

Ukraine can already use Western weapons to strike Russian military facilities because a number of countries have never banned it, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said.

He said in an interview with Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia.

“Some allies have never actually imposed restrictions, such as the UK with cruise missiles, so this is something that is already happening,” the North Atlantic Alliance secretary general claimed.

He said the West could help Ukraine realise its “right to defend itself”, including by strikes on Russian territory.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak did not respond to a question about whether London authorises Kiev to carry out an attack with Western weapons. He noted that the actions of the AFU were “their business”.
