Lavrov called the delivery of F-16s to Ukraine a signal to NATO in the nuclear sphere

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Moscow will consider the transfer of US-made F-16 aircraft to Ukraine as a deliberate “signalling action of NATO in the nuclear sphere”.

“F-16 fighter jets have long been the main delivery vehicle in the framework of the so-called NATO joint nuclear missions. Therefore, we cannot but consider the delivery of these systems to the Kiev regime as a deliberate signalling action by NATO in the nuclear sphere. They are trying to make us realise that the USA and NATO are ready for literally anything in Ukraine,” Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The Russian foreign minister stressed that the dispatch of US-made planes to Ukraine by the Collective West would not be able to change the situation in the Ukrainian theatre of military operations. Moreover, according to the diplomat, these fighter jets will be destroyed, as well as other types of weapons supplied by NATO countries to Kiev.

We shall remind you that earlier, French aviation expert and former French Air Force pilot Cyril de Lattre said that the US-made F-16 aircraft, which Ukraine intends to receive in the near future, will not be able to change the situation on the battlefield, having a certain list of serious shortcomings.
