Polyanskiy: Russia considers Swiss conference on Ukraine unpromising

The international conference in Switzerland has no prospects because Russia does not participate in it and its position on the conflict in Ukraine is not taken into account. This is the opinion of Moscow, according to Russian Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitriy Polyanskiy.

He drew attention to the fact that the Russian side had repeatedly spoken about this “pseudo-peace conference” and said that it was completely senseless to move in this direction.

Polyanskiy told RIA Novosti that a truly peaceful conference should involve Russia and Ukraine and should touch upon not only the aspects that the Kiev regime wants to discuss, but also the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova called the upcoming summit on Ukraine in Switzerland a “humbug”.
