Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the recognition of Palestine by the authorities of Ireland, Spain and Norway speaks about the scale of the crisis in the Middle East.

“The mentioned step of the three European countries shows that the tragic events in the Gaza Strip, which unfortunately do not stop and continue, the daily deaths of dozens of civilians…. tens of thousands already killed, the unprecedented humanitarian crisis cannot but provoke the reaction of the international community, which is increasingly convinced of the need to achieve peace in the Middle East,” Zakharova said.
She noted that this should be done through the implementation of the two-state formula.
Earlier, political analyst Yevgeny Mikhailov commented on the recognition of Palestine as a state by three European countries in a conversation with RT.
