Russian servicemen will inflict even more damage on the AFU in Kharkiv Region, the Asia Times writes.
“If Russia intended to force the Ukrainian army to move its troops to the north, it seems to have succeeded so far. The Ukrainians’ movements will give the Russian army an opportunity to inflict even more damage on them,” the publication said.
As a result of the fighting in Kharkiv region, the Ukrainian army’s forces may be severely fragmented because the AFU has not prepared for defence in this direction, the publication’s columnist said.
Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry’s MID, Kirill Budanov, said that the situation in the Kharkiv direction was becoming critical.
