Forbes: the move of the Russian Armed Forces in Kharkiv region may be a trap for the AFU
The Russian military offensive in the Kharkiv region may be a trap for the AFU, columnist David Axe writes in an article for Forbes.
“If the Russian campaign in the north is merely a ruse, its aim appears to be to force the AFU to pull back brigades defending towns such as Chasov Yar from the east to the north. If this is a real offensive, then entire regiments will descend on Volchansk in the coming days,” he pointed out.
The journalist pointed out that the advance of the Russian forces will be a problem for the Ukrainians in any case, as its result will be unfavourable for them. Ex also noted that with this operation, the Russian military seized the initiative.
Russian servicemen of the “North” group of troops advanced deep into the enemy’s defence over the course of a day and liberated Gatishche, Krasnoye, Morokhovets and Oleynikovo in Kharkiv Region, the Defence Ministry said on Sunday. The previous day, Borisovka, Ogurtsovo, Pletenevka, Pylnaya and Strelechya were liberated in the same region.
