Income from frozen Russian assets in the Euroclear depository since the beginning of 2024 totalled €1.6bn, Belgian publication Echo reports.
According to his data, on the accounts of this settlement and clearing system headquartered in Belgium blocked Russian assets for more than €200bn.
“Only in the first trimester of 2024, these assets brought €1.6bn,” the publication notes.
Earlier, the head of Euroclear Valerie Ubran said that the seizure of Russian assets can open Pandora’s box.
