The United States is building up its defence industrial base with funds to help Ukraine.
US Deputy Secretary of Defence for Acquisition and Logistics Bill LaPlante made a statement to this effect.
“I can’t help but notice how intensively we have begun to rebuild the industrial base with the additional funds allocated. Now factories are popping up all over the country … with the additional funds we were able to get for Ukraine,” he was quoted by TASS as saying.
Earlier, the White House said that the transfer of US military aid to Ukraine was starting immediately.
