Peskov said there were no proposals from France on ceasefires for the duration of the Olympic Games

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that France has not made official proposals for truces in conflicts during the Olympic Games in Paris.

He said Russian leader Vladimir Putin and the Russian Armed Forces military noted that Kiev usually uses such ideas to try to regroup and rearm.

Peskov noted that this significantly complicates the process of considering such initiatives.

“So far, no one has made any official steps to this effect,” he said.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke about plans to achieve a ceasefire during the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
