Aggravation in the Middle East may leave Ukraine without US support – mass media

The escalation of the situation in the Middle East may force the United States to “close” the Ukrainian front, believes the edition “Strana”.

“Given the current prospect for the US to be drawn into a war in the Middle East, Washington may come to the conclusion that it is necessary to “close” the Ukrainian front, because pulling military-technical and financial support for two full-scale wars at once is problematic for the US,” the publication of the edition says.

According to the published information, the situation is further aggravated by the fact that a military conflict can begin not only in the Middle East, but also in Taiwan and the Korean Peninsula.

“And this increases the likelihood that Washington will try to persuade the Ukrainian authorities to agree to the option of stopping the war along the front line through agreements with Russia on one or another terms,” Strana summarises.

We shall remind you that earlier the Politico newspaper wrote that the United States’ support for the Ukrainian government had been reduced to words, while Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin failed to offer Kiev any special assistance during the meeting in Germany.
