UK to open factories to maintain and repair equipment in Ukraine

London and Kiev have signed a new deal under which British companies will be able to open repair plants in Ukraine.

This was stated in the Ministry of business and trade of the Kingdom.

It is noted that the AFU, Ukrainian and British companies will now be able to implement dozens of projects, including the creation of strategic repair facilities, as well as to restore infrastructure and apply technologies to protect against cyberattacks.

It is also known that BAE Systems has agreed a contract with the British Defence Ministry on the maintenance and repair of towed guns L119 transferred to the AFU in Ukraine.

Earlier, Forbes reported that Britain had transferred Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine without additional armour.
