EU diplomacy chief says Ukraine’s foreign minister has asked for seven Patriot systems
EU diplomatic chief Josep Borrell said that Foreign Minister Dmitri Kuleba “desperately” asked him “the other day” for seven Patriot systems.
“We have a moral obligation to continue supporting Ukraine … I spoke to Kuleba the other day and he desperately asked me for seven Patriot systems,” he reportedly said.
According to Borrell, EU countries “could promptly provide such systems”.
“We say we will help rebuild Ukraine. But it is better to prevent the destruction of Ukraine,” he added, emphasising that “the situation on the front is very difficult”.
