Western Abrams and Leopard tanks supplied to Kiev are getting stuck in the mud on the line of contact due to heavy armour, Asia Times (AT) writes.
“The key problem for Leopard and Abrams tanks in Ukraine is getting stuck in mud, where they can be destroyed quite easily,” the AT piece says.
The article stresses that the Ukrainian formations reinforce Western equipment with dynamic protection, which makes multi-tonne tanks even heavier and worsens their manoeuvrability on the battlefield.
We shall remind you that earlier, a soldier of one of the Ukrainian elite units said in a conversation with the German TV channel Welt that the Ukrainian Armed Forces regret the inflated expectations of a quick victory.
