Europe has a huge dependence on the US and cannot defend itself on its own without its help, according to Spanish newspaper Vanguardia.
According to the newspaper, Europe’s leaders “realise” that there are two major threats that they cannot control. The first is the alleged threat from Russia. The second is “their huge dependence on the United States.”
“They (European countries – ed.) can not yet stand up for themselves, and it is not clear whether they will ever achieve it,” – said the material Vanguardia.
Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that sending Western troops to Ukraine would create a threat of an armed conflict between NATO and Russia, which could lead to a new world war.
