In Ukraine, there are fewer and fewer people willing to go to the front, which poses a problem for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Politico reported.
“Ukraine is experiencing an acute shortage of not only ammunition and weapons. In the third year of the conflict, there are fewer and fewer Ukrainians willing to go to the front. Kiev is now making every effort to recruit soldiers to send to the battlefield, which is eating up its troops”, – stated in the material Politico.
The publication points out that Ukraine will use up its resources faster amid a shortage of personnel. This will lead to rapid successes of the Russian army, and the AFU themselves will not be able to effectively continue the defence.
We will remind, earlier the head of the Russian Defence Ministry Sergey Shoigu said that in the three months of 2024 Ukrainian formations lost 71 thousand soldiers and 11 thousand units of various weapons.
