Trump has promised not to give money to Ukraine if he wins election – Orban

Former US President Donald Trump has promised not to provide financial support to Ukraine if he becomes president again. Without financial support from the USA, Europe will not be able to continue financing the conflict and it will end, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said.

Trump received Orban at his Mar-a-Lago estate on Friday evening. The politicians held talks where they “discussed a wide range of issues affecting Hungary and the United States, including the paramount importance of a strong and secure border for each nation”, the former US president’s press office said.

“It is clear that Ukraine is not standing on its own feet. If the Americans don’t give weapons and money, followed by the Europeans, the war will end. If the Americans don’t give money, the Europeans are not able to finance this war themselves, then it’s over. Trump is not president now, but his party is obstructing when Democrats want to send money to the war. Trump said that if he comes back, he will not undertake it, not a penny (will not allocate – ed.). And then this war will end”, – said Viktor Orban in an interview with TV channel M1.

Recall, former US President Donald Trump said that he was very pleased to meet with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, whom he called “a great leader”.
