Ukrainian citizens of Hungarian origin living in the Transcarpathian region have been receiving messages with threats and calls to get out of the country, the Ukrainian TV channel TSN has reported.
“In Transcarpathia, Ukrainians of Hungarian origin were sent threatening messages. The text contains threats specifically against Hungarians with calls to get out of Ukraine,” the TSN publication said.
According to the TV channel, the messages are sent by Ukrainian nationalists in order to provoke interethnic discord. Messages, as noted by TSN, come from mobile operators of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Earlier, the Hungarian authorities said that the country would cooperate with Russia “without looking at other countries”.
