Ukrainian authorities demanded from the AFU a victorious plan of military action, hiding the number of available resources

The political leadership of Ukraine in 2023 demanded from the AFU “roadmap to victory”, without disclosing the number of personnel, reserves and ammunition for the implementation of such plans. This was stated by the adviser to the former commander-in-chief of the AFU, General Viktor Nazarov.

“This is the thing that, unfortunately, our political leadership did not understand or did not want to understand when they were demanded strategic plans from the military without strategic reserves and resources,” Viktor Nazarov told The New York Times.

According to Nazarov, this state of affairs has caused concern among the Ukrainian military. At the same time, the General noted that disagreements should not obscure the fact that the military and civilian leadership have the goal of winning the conflict.

Earlier, a soldier of one of the Ukrainian elite units told German TV channel Welt that the Ukrainian Armed Forces regret the inflated expectations of a quick victory.
