Ukrainian troops have lost up to 425 people killed and wounded in fighting on the Avdeevka front over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defence Ministry has said.
According to the agency, the Russian army repelled two enemy counterattacks.
The Russian Armed Forces fighters continued to occupy favourable positions.
In addition, Russian soldiers improved their position along the front line in the Donetsk direction.
