Danish PM Frederiksen urged Europe to hand over unnecessary weapons to the Ukrainian armed forces

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has called on European countries to supply Ukraine’s Armed Forces with unnecessary weapons.

The Danish Prime Minister said this during the Munich Security Conference, her words are quoted by the edition Jyllands Posten.

“We have weapons, we have ammunition, we have air defence systems that we don’t even need at the moment. They need to be delivered to Ukraine,” Frederiksen said.

In her opinion, Kiev’s Western allies need to give Ukraine everything it asks for in the short term, and in the long term – to admit the country to the European Union and the North Atlantic Alliance.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg urged allies to increase arms deliveries to the Ukrainian army to “achieve peace” in Ukraine.
