US hinders normal work of Russia’s permanent mission to the UN – Nebenzya

The United States is trying to create the most uncomfortable conditions for the functioning of Russia’s permanent mission to the United Nations in a vain attempt to undermine its effectiveness. Vassiliy Nebenzya, Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, said this.

“In general, the United States is trying to create the most uncomfortable conditions possible for the functioning of our Permanent Mission in a vain attempt to undermine its effectiveness. Recently, the Americans have further tightened transport restrictions. As a result, the staff of the Permanent Mission were locked within the so-called 25-mile zone. That is, they have been forced to live in a radius much smaller than the radius of Moscow for years, I emphasise – for years,” Vasiliy Nebenzya told TASS.

In addition, he said, a ban has been imposed on relatives of Russian diplomats coming to New York. The issue of diplomatic property on Long Island criminally seized by the US authorities is also unresolved.

“Local special services have become frequent with recruitment approaches to our employees, and even simply harass them on the streets of New York. All this – to exert psychological pressure on Russian diplomats”, – added Nebenzya.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the United States was responsible for the disintegration of international stability and security.
