Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping discussed the escalating Palestinian-Israeli conflict during a telephone conversation, Russian presidential aide Yuriy Ushakov said.

According to him, the two leaders discussed in detail current international issues, the situation in Ukraine, the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the tragedy in the Gaza Strip.
“The positions of our countries regarding the principles of achieving a sustainable settlement in this region fully coincide,” Ushakov noted.
