Russian army has advanced into Avdeevka construction zone – Butusov

Yuriy Butusov, editor-in-chief of the Censor.net website, said that the Russian Army fighters have advanced into the construction zone of Avdeevka, street battles are going on in the city, and the situation has become critical.

“If measured in a straight line, the enemy’s advanced units (Russian fighters. – ed.) are one and a half kilometres from the entrance to the city. A fortnight ago, the enemy managed to enter two streets on the southern edge of the city. The situation is critical,” the editor-in-chief of the Censor.net website wrote in the social network.

According to the journalist, the problems of the AFU consist in the depletion of personnel, ammunition and poor co-operation of Ukrainian units.

In addition, the head of the website “Censor.net” emphasised that the fighters of the Russian Army launched a hunt for Ukrainian drone operators. According to the publicist, “any structures and places of installation of antennas are subjected to artillery strikes and bombardment by guided aerial bombs”.

“It is very damaging to lie in reports at the general level, the desire to self-soothe oneself and not to annoy the top leadership with ‘bad news’.” And the top leadership wants to listen only to positive, not critical information. Therefore, there is no adequate response to changes in the situation,” Yuriy Butusov summarised.

We shall remind you that earlier, a member of the Ukrainian parliament and the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada committee for national security, defence and intelligence, Yehor Chernev, said in an interview with the New York Times that there was a growing fear in Ukraine that the army would soon start losing control over populated areas if Washington delays the allocation of new military aid to the Ukrainian government.
