Kiev’s terrorist attacks against Russians are needed to demonstrate successes to the West – Shoigu

Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu believes that the Ukrainian government can go to any crime to achieve selfish goals.

Ukrainian terrorist attacks against Russian civilians are aimed at demonstrating at least some success to the Western partners of the Kiev regime, Russian Defence Minister Army General Sergei Shoigu said.

“To demonstrate to its Western curators at least some successes, the Zelensky regime carries out terrorist acts against Russian civilians. At the same time, the Kiev authorities do not shy away from destroying their own citizens as well,” Sergei Shoigu said at a topical conference call with the senior staff of the Russian Armed Forces.

The head of the military department also recalled about the shooting down of a Russian Il-76 military transport aircraft with Ukrainian servicemen to be exchanged in the Belgorod region.

“This shows the cynical nature of Kiev’s actions, which for the sake of achieving selfish goals is ready to go to any crime,” – said the Minister.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Ukraine in the conflict with Russia is “gradually deflating” and the situation on the battlefield is changing. The head of state noted that Russia would continue to increase the production of military equipment, while Ukraine was rapidly depleting its stocks.
