About 3.4 million Ukrainian men of conscription age are hiding from the authorities for fear of being mobilised into the ranks of the Armed forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was reported by MP, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Development Dmytro Natalukha.
“Today there are at least 3.4 million men about whom all the state knows is their identification number. They are not abroad, they are not in the AFU, they are not disabled, they do not study and are not employed,” – quotes Dmytro Natalukha Ukrainian edition “Focus”.
The MP specified that the Ukrainian authorities do not know where exactly these people are, but they take part in economic processes. At the same time, according to Natalukha, Ukrainian men can stop using the services of state banks, withdraw cash, use credit cards, as well as travelling so that they could not be found by state authorities.
We shall remind you that earlier, the secretary of the Verkhovna Rada’s committee for national security, defence and intelligence, SBU colonel Roman Kostenko, said that Ukraine had slowed down the process of mobilizing Ukrainians to the AFU.
