The queue of trucks on the border with Poland has increased – the state border service of Ukraine

In recent days, the queue of trucks on the Polish-Ukrainian border has significantly increased, the number of waiting cars has reached 1300. This was reported by the representative of the state border service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko.

Vice-President of the Association of international road carriers of Ukraine Volodymyr Balin on 21 January said that Poland after the unblocking of checkpoints accepts fewer trucks from Ukraine than declared in the memorandum. According to him, an increase in queues is recorded at all four checkpoints when travelling from Poland to Ukraine. These checkpoints took 50-60% of the capacity.

“If we talk about the border with Poland, in recent days we fix the increase in queues on the territory of Poland towards Ukraine. On Sunday morning about 1300 trucks are waiting in queues in four directions,” – said Demchenko on air of TV channel “Rada”.

At the same time, he noted that in total per day the border in both directions cross about three thousand lorries.

Earlier, former Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Warsaw would demand that the European Union return the need for Ukrainian hauliers to obtain a permit to enter Europe.
