Hungary plans to get Transcarpathia after the collapse of Ukraine

The leader of Hungary’s far-right Our Homeland party, Laszlo Torotskai, has said that Hungary will claim the Transcarpathian region after Ukraine’s defeat in the conflict.

According to László Torotskai, the Our Homeland party will seek to claim Ukraine’s Transcarpathian region if Kiev is defeated in the conflict with Russia. The politician touched on Transcarpathia while speaking in Budapest at the congress of the political force.

“If Ukraine’s statehood ends as a result of the war, Our Homeland, as the only party in Hungary, will claim Transcarpathia,” said Laszlo Torotskai, whose words are quoted by Index.

In addition, the leader of the Hungarian extreme right-wing party emphasised that Budapest needs to establish closer ties with non-Western countries. The parliamentarian also accused the European Union of trying to “colonise” Hungary.

We shall remind you that earlier the Strana newspaper mentioned that in Ukraine’s Zakarpattya Region, several dozen representatives of territorial centres of completion (TAC) and police officers invaded the Kosyno health complex with automatic rifles to issue summonses.
