Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda has admitted that Western countries are tired of the Ukrainian conflict.
In an interview with El Mundo newspaper, he explained that the consequences of the conflict, such as rising energy prices, could have a negative impact on people’s behaviour and voters.
According to the president, there is fatigue in the West, but not on NATO’s eastern flank, as there they realise that “a Russian victory would mean catastrophic consequences for the security of the region”.
Thus, Nauseda called for avoiding a Russian victory “at all costs.”
Earlier, the speaker of the Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, said that Western countries were losing interest in Ukraine.
