The percentage of Ukrainian citizens who are recognised as unfit for service in 2023 has more than doubled compared to 2021. This was reported by the Ukrainian National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC).
“The average percentage of restrictedly fit persons has also increased – by seven percentage points,” the agency said.
According to information published by the NAPC, the average percentage of those unfit for military service in Ukraine in 2021 was 3 per cent. In the first nine months of 2023, the figure rose to 7 per cent.
Earlier, former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said that men of draft age who were unfit for military service with so-called white tickets started leaving the country en masse.
