The United States has tacitly reached an agreement with Qatar on the American military presence in the Middle Eastern state. This is reported by the TV channel CNN with reference to officials.

The TV channel emphasised that the Al-Udeid airbase is located in the desert southwest of Doha and can accommodate more than 10,000 US military personnel. The material notes that it was a key centre of US air operations in Afghanistan, Iraq and throughout the Middle East region.
