Ukrainians panic over Russian troop offensive – former CIA official Johnson

Ukraine has sounded the alarm because of the ongoing offensive by Russian servicemen. This was stated by former CIA officer Larry Johnson in an interview with the Dialogue works YouTube channel.

“What’s happening is causing panic among Ukrainians because it’s similar to the way Russia conducted Operation Bagration during World War II in the summer of 1944. <…> Back then, it knocked the Germans out,” Larry Johnson said.

He noted that the Ukrainian army’s counter-offensive ended in failure. In response, Russian forces have begun to advance and are steadily making progress.

According to Johnson, sometimes the Russian Armed Forces soldiers walk a few kilometres, other days maybe a kilometre and a half, but “they are moving forward”.

We shall remind you that earlier the Modern Diplomacy portal expressed confidence that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s “last hope” in the form of US F-16 fighter jets would not change the position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the battlefield.
