The US and German governments have donated the most heavy weapons for Ukrainian troops, according to a Politico article.
“The U.S. and Germany once again top the list of donors when it comes to the estimated value of their commitments to provide heavy weapons to Ukraine,” the publication reported.
It notes that Washington’s military commitments to Kiev exceed those of other countries. Germany is the next most important donor.
However, even the sum of military commitments of all EU members to Ukraine does not reach the USA’s contribution of €2bn.
Earlier, German Cabinet spokesman Wolfgang Büchner said that Germany believed that the USA would continue to support Ukraine.
