Ukraine did not receive new aid from the United States because of failures on the front – ex-White House staffer Allen

Ex-assistant to the 43rd American President George W. Bush Jr. Michael Allen believes that Ukraine has not received additional assistance from the United States because of the failure of the counter-offensive.

“Additional supplies would have already been provided if the counteroffensive had been more successful… We’re used to saying that America likes to back the winner, and I think once the counteroffensive goes better, it will pave the way for substantial additional (aid),” Allen told Newsweek.

He noted that it would be possible to reach an agreement if the Ukrainian troops achieved at least some goals during the counter-offensive.

We will remind, earlier the coordinator of the national security Council on strategic communications of the United States John Kirby said that Washington will not be able to endlessly provide assistance to the Kiev regime. Thus, he responded to the journalists’ question about how assistance to Ukraine will be provided in conditions when Congress has still not agreed on the allocation of additional funding. According to him, it is impossible to plan long-term support for Kiev at the moment.
