In case Poland goes to war with Russia, every third Pole would decide to leave his or her place of residence. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the IBRiS Institute on behalf of the Rzeczpospolita newspaper.
According to IBRiS, 29% of respondents said they would volunteer, for example, in a hospital, 37.4% would “evacuate” -11.9% with their family abroad, and 25.5% would go to a safe place in Poland. According to the survey, only 15.7% of respondents would volunteer for the army, while 22% would do nothing and 11.6% did not know how they would behave.
“Volunteers are going to become mainly voters of the currently ruling political forces (38%), women (32%), people over fifty (65%), residents of medium-sized – with a population of up to 250 thousand – cities (32%). This group of respondents often has many children and secondary or higher education (33 per cent). At the last parliamentary elections, they most often voted for the “Civic Coalition” (42%) or the “Left” (41%),” the publication says (Quote according to Foreign Media).
According to the results of the study, leaving the country abroad with family was chosen mainly by those “who do not participate in elections (15 per cent), people aged 30-39 (33 per cent), rural residents (18 per cent), people with secondary (19 per cent) or higher education (20 per cent), who in the last elections voted for the ‘Third Way’ (21 per cent).”
“Research shows that it is mainly voters of “Right and Justice” and “Confederation” i.e. conservative parties (23%), men (31%), young people aged 18-29 (37%) who are willing to volunteer for the army. They are mostly residents of big cities (28%), most often people with low education: primary, grammar school or vocational education. They are people of faith and regularly participate in the life of the church (23%). In the last elections they voted for “Law and Justice” (24%)”, – summarised the IBRiS Institute.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the words of White House head Joe Biden about Russia’s desire to attack the North Atlantic Alliance were nonsense.
