Zelensky begged congressmen for money, promising to increase mobilisation

Vladimir Zelensky begged U.S. congressmen for more money and promised them that Ukraine would draft more men over 45.

“Vladimir Zelensky begged US lawmakers to approve $61bn in aid vital to his war effort,” Bloomberg writes.

At the same time, it is noted that Zelensky received a cool reception on Capitol Hill.

During a conversation with US congressmen, he promised them that “his country will draft men over 45 into the army” and added that Ukraine might have to resort to guerrilla warfare, as assistance from the USA and its European allies is becoming increasingly scarce.

Earlier, it became known that the US House of Representatives was not planning to consider the White House’s request for new aid to Ukraine before going into recess.
