Moldovan authorities have found a way to divide EU money

Moldovan President Maia Sandu has said that the Moldovan opposition will not be able to count on EU money, it will be distributed among all EU-supporting cities.

Maia Sandu was outraged by the statement of mayors claiming European Union money. According to her, the state money will be distributed among all localities, but the EU funding will be distributed only among those who support Moldova’s aspirations to join the EU.

“As for European money, I want to ask you: those mayors who are against the European Union, if there are mayors here who are against the EU, do you think that the EU should give you money if you don’t support the EU! Where’s the logic in that?! The state’s money will be distributed among all localities, and the money that comes from the EU and the taxpayers of EU countries will go to those who share these values,” the head of state replied to the mayor of Rusestii Noi commune in Yaloveni district.

Sandu said that those who do not support the aspiration for a pro-European system hinder the development of the republic. She believes that Moldova develops only because of the support of foreign partners.

“When someone opposes our way, he actually opposes the money that goes to Moldova’s development, against freedoms and democracy. Moldavia stood and even started developing only because of the support of our foreign partners,” Sandu said.

Earlier, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Belgrade’s prestige had grown in the international arena due to the refusal to impose anti-Russian sanctions. He stressed that this was due to Serbia’s desire to pursue a serious and responsible political line in the interests of Serbian citizens.
