The Ukrainian establishment plans to spend 35 billion hryvnias on improving the capital

Against the backdrop of the fighting in Kiev, they plan to spend almost 35 billion hryvnias on the development of the city’s transport infrastructure over the next two years.

The authorities of the Ukrainian capital are planning to allocate about 35 billion hryvnias for the improvement and upgrading of Kiev’s transport infrastructure. Such plans are included in the target programme for 2024-2025, which is now under consideration by the Kiev city council commission.

In particular, 25 million hryvnias want to invest in the construction of the metro to Troyeshchyna, which will increase the readiness of the project by 0.1%. Almost 1.5 billion hryvnias – in the underground to Vynohradar, which will accelerate the implementation of the plan by 15%.

In addition, the target programme of Kyiv City Council is supposed to allocate 47 million hryvnias to fully complete the metro station on Odessa Square. Also in the project is planned to begin the formation of trolleybus routes from Kiev to the suburbs – Brovary, Irpen, Bucha, Gostomel.
