Foreign Ministry: Russia will take measures in case of NATO military activity near its borders

Russia intends to take all precautionary measures in response to NATO activity near its own borders, Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Grushko said.

According to him, the military activity of the North Atlantic Alliance “forms a military-political reality” containing a charge of destabilisation. For this reason, Moscow will take military-technical precautions.

“We will do it, as Russian President Vladimir Putin said, in line with the real change in the military situation. I mean those military potentials that may be deployed or may appear along our borders,” TASS quoted Grushko as saying.

Earlier, he said that NATO was undermining security in the European Union in its attempts to gain superiority over Russia.
