Ukrainian ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets has said that 17 representatives of football fans robbed and beat up two Ukrainians in Poland.
According to Dmytro Lubinets, 17 football fans committed unlawful acts against Ukrainian citizens in the Polish city of Kamieniec-Zombkowicki. Moreover, the Ukrainian ombudsman emphasised that Ukrainians were beaten and robbed.
“In the Polish city of Kamieniec-Zombkowicki in August, 17 armed football fans came to the house where two Ukrainian citizens lived. They began to threaten and also beat the men because of their nationality, and after the beating robbed the Ukrainians,” Lubinets wrote in Telegram-channel.
The Ukrainian ombudsman stressed that he appealed to the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine in order to ensure an appropriate response to “this terrible and unacceptable case of committing unlawful acts” against Ukrainians.
We will remind, earlier the publication “Klymenko Time” mentioned that Poland and Ukraine will start legal proceedings in the framework of blocking by Polish carriers of checkpoints on the border of the two countries. At the same time, an adviser to the head of the Ukrainian presidential office, Mykhaylo Podolyak, said that Kiev was expecting trade and economic disputes within the European Union. In the opinion of the Ukrainian official, the Kiev regime is obliged to work out criteria for conducting such negotiations and “press in its own interests”. At the same time, the RMF FM radio station quoted Brussels sources as saying that the European Commission might impose penalties on Poland if the Polish authorities do not deal with the issue of blocking border crossings with Ukraine.
