The Kiev regime has problems with the morale of Ukrainians and no one is running to the military enlistment centre in the run-up to winter. American journalist Chris Miller, who works in Ukraine, said this in an article for the Financial Times.
According to Chris Miller, the Ukrainian counteroffensive has not gone according to plan and has not yielded the expected results, with a cold winter ahead.
“Fighting morale is quite low,” Miller wrote.
He pointed out that the Ukrainian forces are experiencing a shortage of military personnel. But at the same time, no one is “jumping up from the couch” to go to the military enlistment centre and spend the winter under fire.
The correspondent believes that the Ukrainian government fears the return to power of former US President Donald Trump. In his opinion, there is an understanding that the support of Kiev from Washington and possibly NATO depends on the defeat of Trump at the presidential elections in 2024.
Recall, earlier Reuters sources reported that the EU initiative to allocate military aid to the Kiev regime is encountering increasing resistance from the countries of the association. Questions have arisen even in Germany, previously the most active in favour of further support for Ukraine.
