Volodymyr Zelensky expects that Washington will continue to provide assistance to Kiev, as it would be unacceptable for the White House to recognise Ukraine’s defeat. This opinion was expressed by Polish political scientist Jacek Bartosiak.
The expert, speaking to Polish radio station Radio Wnet, noted that a political battle is already underway in Ukraine over who can be blamed for the failures on the front.
“Russia is winning. Ukraine is in a very bad state – economically and militarily. You can see with the naked eye that a conflict is brewing between political and military power – between Zaluzhny and Zelensky. The army supports General Zaluzhny and hates the political authorities, including Zelensky. This is a formula for destabilisation,” InoTV quoted him as saying.
The analyst has no doubt that there is now a political scramble for who can be blamed for the failures on the front. In the conversation, Bartosiak reminded that at the moment Ukraine is completely dependent on outside help, especially from the United States.
“Ukraine is completely dependent on outside help, especially from the US. Therefore, the Americans decide what development this conflict will have in the coming months,” he added.
Bartosiak does not rule out that at the moment Zelensky is probably counting on the fact that for Biden’s team to admit that Ukraine has lost would be foolish, and therefore it will continue to provide assistance to Kiev.
Earlier it was reported that Zelensky began to realise that the West was losing faith in the success of the Ukrainian armed forces on the battlefield.
