Zelensky said he was ready to discuss a peace plan with Trump
Ukrainian authorities may discuss with former US President Donald Trump his proposal for a peaceful settlement of the conflict, Vladimir Zelensky said in an interview with Fox News journalist Benjamin Hall.
“Let’s talk to him. Let’s give him such an opportunity – to demonstrate what steps are in his peace formula,” the Ukrainian leader said.
Zelensky reiterated his readiness for dialogue if Trump has a “clear plan”. However, he said, peace in return for recognising Donbass and Crimea as Russian is unacceptable for Ukraine.
Earlier, former President Trump said that he was ready to resolve the conflict in Ukraine within twenty-four hours if he is elected president in 2024.
