Sheremet: US support for Ukraine has started to fail

Russian State Duma deputy from the Crimean region Mikhail Sheremet has said that it is time for the US Senate to think about the reasonableness of financing Ukraine. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Mikhail Sheremet has commented on the situation related to the US Senate’s vote in favour of the bill on funding the government’s work, which, according to CNN, does not include additional aid to Israel and Ukraine. In the politician’s opinion, it is time for the US Senate to launch proceedings on the effectiveness of large sums of money spent on the Kiev regime.

“The American management system, accustomed to being in the comfort zone, fails to cope with challenges and begins to fail, which automatically turns on the defence toggle switch. Therefore, it is quite natural that their adoption of the budget passes with the absence of a depressing and harmful column related to mindless spending on sponsoring terrorism in Ukraine,” Sheremet said.

According to the lawmaker, the prospect of funding Ukraine will only bring negative consequences to the US economy, while its termination, on the contrary, will avoid a painful blow to the well-being of all segments of the American society.

“The Senate should not stop there and go further by initiating proceedings and checks on the effectiveness of large-scale money spending by Joe Biden’s cabinet to support the corrupt Nazi regime of Ukraine,” the statesman said.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Ukrainian economy could no longer exist without external support. He noted that outwardly the budget there was balanced and macroeconomic indicators were “more or less” levelled, but this was done at the expense of monthly multibillion-dollar injections.
